It seems that ever since I installed Kontakt 6 player and Kontact Factory Selection, the demo of GR 6 has "switched" to the less featured GR 6 player version that provides only 1 amplifier and a couple of effects. Here’s a quick summary of AmpliTube 5’s core features: 400+ amp, cabinet, stompbox, and rack effects models (depending on version purchased) 5 new amps, 2 new stompboxes, 2 new rooms, 19 new rack effects models. After checking that out, I downloaded Kontakt 6 player and the free Kontakt factory selection of virtual instruments to see how those would play with my midi controller.

Native Instruments has introduced Guitar Rig 6 Pro, a long-awaited update to its hugely popular, near-decade old Guitar Rig 5 Pro amp-modeling and effects.
I downloaded the demo of GR 6 pro a few days ago and I had some fun noodling around with the wide variety of amplifiers for 20 minutes. The ever-popular amp-modeling and effects plugin has been updated with an HD interface, three new amps and Native Instruments’ Intelligent Circuit Modeling.
